Description
Carol McClendon (1942-2004?) served as a Ward 28 councilman on the Cleveland City Council. The Cleveland native graduated from East Technical High School and Southern University. Among her public service activities, she was a precinct committeeman, and was elected statewide as a delegate at large to the National Democratic Convention for Senator Hubert H. Humphrey. She was married at one time to Wm. C. McClendon, and had two children, Wm. C. Jr. and Kelly. Carol McLendon Park is located at E. 93rd Street and Union Avenue in Cleveland.
