Description

This photograph shows marchers demonstrating for fair housing in Forsyth County, Georgia, in 1987. Demonstrators are holding signs that read "Forsyth loves everybody" and "Ain't gonna let nobody turn us around." The march, led by Hosea Williams, ended in a confrontation with Ku Klux Klansmen throwing rocks and bottles at the demonstrators. The incident brought national attention to Forsyth County and resulted in the indictment of two Klan organizations.
