Description
Recording begins with the end of Harvey Gantt giving a speech outdoors at the Tarboro courthouse. He reassures the crowd that upon his election he will serve on the people's behalf and discusses issues central to his platform including support for education and lowering the high cost of medical care. Pause in the recording, then recording resumes with Gantt speaking with reporters after the event. He speaks with one unidentified interviewer at length while in the car. Gantt discusses the frustrations of facing an opponent that avoids public debate, his views on religion in politics, and what really motivates him in life.
