Oral history interview with James Greene interviewed by Unidentified. on 1978 October 25.African American baseball player who primarily played catcher, first base, and outfielder. Greene (known as Joe) played for the Atlanta Black Crackers (1932-1938), Homestead Grays (1939), Kansas City Monarchs (1939-1943, 1946-1947), and the Cleveland Buckeyes (1948).
