In the photograph Wilton Norman "Wilt the Stilt" Chamberlain (1936-1999) is in action as a member of the Philadelphia Warriors. Chamberlain, born in Philadelphia and a graduate of Overbook High School, played professional basketball for the Philadelphia/San Francisco Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers and the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Before entering the NBA, Chamberlain began his professional basketball career with the Harlem Globetrotters (1958-59). Chamberlain is the only player in NBA history to score a 100 points in a single game and was enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
