Description
The following groups performed at the event: Ensley Jubilee Singers, Fairfield Four, Four Eagle Gospel Singers, Heavenly Gospel Singers, Jubilaires, Ravizee Singers, Shelby County Big Four, Spirit of Memphis Quartet, and Sterling Jubilees of Bessemer. The program includes "A Brief History of Quartet Singing in Jefferson County," along with sketches of early groups in the area. Doug Seroff directed the project, which was sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Alabama State Council on the Arts and Humanities.
