An original cartoon drawing by Jack Knox, cartoonist for the Nashville Banner newspaper. This cartoon appeared in the Nashville Banner newspaper on March 1, 1960 and depicts a crowd of demonstrators and "unruly white crowds" separated by Mayor Ben West's written declaration declaring the need for law and order in the midst of current racial strife.
