Description
Statement from Joseph Shelley, the mayor of St. Augustine, in response to accusations distributed on university campuses in the New England states. Shelley claims that these accusations are inaccurate and acknowledges several of the allegations concerning civil rights, such as segregation, school integration, working conditions, demonstrations, and the St. Augustine police force. He also responds to concerns about the use of police dogs.
