"Alice Lovelace Riley and Jiki Riley."--Jim Alexander's annotations.Alice Lovelace Riley and her husband Charles Riley, or Jikki Riley to his friends, perform poetry together at the Neighborhood Arts Center during 1982. Before marrying Riley, Alice Lovelace was a Neighborhood Arts Center artist-in-residence and creative writing teacher from March 1979 until July 1980. After she left, she was involved with many other Atlanta area community programs including Alternate ROOTS and Project South. After marrying Riley, she joined the Neighborhood Arts Center board of trustees while working as an arts administrator, playwright and editor. Riley was well-known for achievements as a teacher, an activist, and in almost every art form, including poetry, photography, film, musical composition, conducting, and visual art.Title provided by Jim Alexander.
