Description

Herbert Mann, 36, a sit-in demonstrator at the Southwood Riviera Royale housing tract in Torrance, sits on air as police arrest him on August 10, 1963, for curfew violation and carry him away. Police said it was Mann's ninth arrest in the racial strife. He wears a CORE label.
