Party statements from the Buchanan-Fremont presidential election on whether Congress has the Constitutional right to prohibit slavery and polygamy in the territories. The author lists various quotes from the Founding Fathers, Acts of Congress, and quotes from Daniel Webster and Henry Clay supporting the right of Congress to prohibit slavery in the territories. He offers a $100 dollar reward to anyone who can disprove the statements in his article.
