Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Manuscript is composed upon stationary bearing the typeset letterhead of the "Editorial Rooms of the Independent".Manuscript is a typeset form letter from "The Independent" used to address payment to contributors.Manuscript annotated on recto, with "2" in pencil to the left of the letterhead.R. S. Stanton addresses an unidentified interlocuter from the offices of "The Independent", and encloses a check for the sum of $25 for their contributed article published in the newspaper.
