Video of Dilmus Hall's art opening at the Nexus Contemporary Art Center, now called the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center, in Atlanta, Georgia on May 4, 1984. Hall is present at the opening, and Judy McWillie interviews him about his art. Hall is shown talking to gallery visitors. The video includes shots of the exhibit space, in which is mounted figures and several paintings. Hall walks through the gallery inspecting his work, and the video features many close-up shots of the work. Gallery visitors speak with McWillie about her film equipment, and several museum visitors move through the exhibit space. In the next segment, McWillie and Hall visit Katherine's Kitchen in Athens, and are filmed in the car outside of the restaurant. The next segment includes images of slides from 1975-1984, showing Hall's house and yard, around which are several pieces of art, including sculpted figures. The next segment is described as "Abstractions (color reversed) of site" on the original tape's label, and features color reversed shots of Hall's work with a musical background. The final segment includes footage of Hall's house, and some of his art that is visible from the street. McWillie conducts a brief interview with his neighbors, Mildred and Burell Shaw, about Hall. They have known Hall for 38 years, they confirm that talking with Hall makes one feel better, and say that people in the community consult with him.
