Handwritten copy of letter; not William Lloyd Garrison's handwriting. Whereabouts of original manuscript unknownIn this letter, William Lloyd Garrison introduces the Rev. Moses Thacher; Thacher will deliver the address at the Anti-Masonic State Convention, held in in Augusta, Maine. The friends of the American Colonization Society were defeated in the weekly debates in Boston. Garrison attended the National Convention of Free People of Color. Garrison has sent to Ebenezer Dole 25 copies of his "Thoughts on Colonization" to be freely distributed.
