Hosted by Charlesetta Bisard. Segment one: Elbert Square restoration ceremony, 0:00-9:05. Savannah's historic Elbert Square is recreated by a joint effort of the Savannah Development and Renewal Authority (SDRA) and Savannah College of Art (SCAD) and Design's Department of Architecture. Seventeen SCAD students competed for the winning design, which was revealed at a ceremony attended by city officials and community leaders. Speakers at the ceremony include Alderman at Large Pete Liakakis, Brian Murphy, executive Vice President of SCAD, James Riles from SDRA, and SDRA Executive Director Lisa Sundrla, who recognizes all of those who participated in the project. The student with the winning design is Eduardo Jose Castillo Cortez. Segment two: Yamacraw Public Art Project Grant acceptance, 9:05-16:05. The Yamacraw Public Art Project (YPAP), which recognizes the historical contributions of Native Americans and African-Americans on the former site of Yamacraw Village, was awarded a $50,000 grant by the Housing Authority of Savannah. Civic Magazine interviews YPAP Chairman Bob Bess about how the grant will be used to further the project's mission. At the grant acceptance ceremony attended by city officials, speakers include Alderman Clifton Jones. who awards the check for the grant, Bob Bess, who receives the check, Brenda Johnson, President of the Residents' Association, Mayor Floyd Adams, Jr., and project artist Jerome Meadows. Segment three: Georgia Litter Prevention Pilot Program, 16:05-17:06.
