Nelson describes some of her experiences. Nelson is South Carolina's first black woman novelist. Her books include: "After The Storm," "The Dawn Appears," and "Don't Walk on My Dreams." Her plays include: "Weary Fireside Blues" and "Parrot's Plantation." Note: from the series "Quest for Human / Civil Rights - Oral Recollections of Black South Carolinians."
