Description
Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Patrick Henry Greenleaf writes to William Lloyd Garrison and Isaac Knapp, sending them two dollars to pay for the Abolitionist and asking to "be enrolled as a member of the New England Anti-Slavery Society, which I believe entitles me to the this publication gratis." Greenleaf offers his assistance "in the noble & philanthropic cause" and suggests they open an auxiliary office of the New England Anti-Slavery Society in Portland.
