December 11, 1892, issue of the Parisian newspaper "Le Journal Illustré." The front page features a black and white print of four (4) African American men hanging by their necks from nooses tied to a tree in the woods. The image was drawn by Henri Meyer and engraved by Fortuné Méaulle.
