This also contains an extra copy of page 7 of the letter which contains the call number MS A.1.2 v.24, p.87.Louis Alexis Chamerovzow writes to Mary Anne Estlin in regards to her father's health. He thanks her father for his confidence in him. He discusses his thoughts on the Manchester conference, the British & Foreign anti-slavery society, the London conferences, and of Garrison and his abolitionist friends who have "the opportunity of abusing the Broad St. Committee openly, as they have done privately." He discusses the grievances between members of the American anti-slavery society and the British & Foreign anti-slavery society. He writes, "I propose to enlarge our periodical without increasing its price, & to introduce a regular monthly record of American Anti-Slavery items, embracing all Anti-slavery meetings & proceedings in Congress as well as out. In fact to make the Reporter in the Anti-Slavery world what the Times is in the commercial & political." He introduced this idea to George Thompson who liked the idea. He discusses other anti-slavery newspapers who are suffering financially. He is grieved by the course Mr. Pillsbury has adopted. He writes of a misunderstanding in correspondence between Mr. Pillsbury, Mr. Brown, and George Thompson.
