The day this photograph was taken, Martin Luther King, Jr., spoke at the church. This image was taken for (but not used in) an article ("'Things Are Not Right in This Country'--King" by V. English, B. Wilcox and B. Labaree) and photo spread ("Rallying Support for Poor People's Stay in Washington") that appeared on pages 1 and 3 of The Southern Courier for February 24-25, 1968.
