Photograph taken June 1936 looking east at the north side of Biddle Street from its intersection with Bolton Street in Baltimore, Maryland. Streetcar tracks embedded in Biddle turn north onto Bolton Street at this corner. A pool hall at number 232 displays signs advertising Coca-Cola and beer on its exterior walls. This block consists of three-story row houses with trees on the street. Numerous African Americans are sitting on the steps or strolling along the sidewalk as two cars travel west toward the intersection.
