Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Manuscript annotated on recto, with "93" in pencil above Parish's salutation to Garrison.John Parish reports to William Lloyd Garrison of having heard of a "proposition for a compromise of the five suits" against Garrison, and copies the correspondence between Adams White and George Benson on the subject. Parish opines that Garrison ought to accept the terms of the proposed settlement so as to avoid an "expensive trial".
