Description

A black and white photograph of five men and five women faculty members at Morris Brown College. Morris Brown College was established on October 15, 1885 when students and teachers met in a crude wooden structure in Atlanta, Georgia. This was the first educational institution in Georgia under the sole support of African Americans. It was named after Bishop Morris Brown, the second bishop consecrated to serve the African Methodist Episcopal Church (AME).
