Digitization sponsored by the Council on Library and Information Resources.Margaret Jones and Senon Pabou in wheelchairs were among the 2,000 handicapped New Yorkers who went on the Institute for the Crippled and Disabled's 39th Annual Day In The Sun Cruise (Friday, June 21, 1968). She was brought by her son, Alvin. Pabou, a Bellevue Hospital patient, came with nurse Janet Barezak. An African American woman is pushed on the ramp by her son; beside her an old man who is missing his right leg is pushed in his wheelchair by a young woman.
