Description

Caroline writes to Edward, telling him that the ring has attracted some notice and questions are being asked. She tells him that her father said Edward had not mentioned anything to him, but she assures Edward that she is not frightened that her father would take any action except to plague her a little about the engagement. She says her mother is happy about it.
