Description
Chieves purchased the slave, a boy named Emanuel, for $600 on November 25, 1815. On the back of the receipt are two further transactions involving Emanuel: first, he was transferred to Green Wood on April 18, 1818, and then he was given to Bolling Hall on May 20.
