Description

The Ring family of Williamson County, TN provided three brothers for service in World War I. This newspaper article appeared in the Nashville Tennessean in 1918. Capt. Joseph Ring served in the 308th Engineers; Lt. Nathan Ring in the field artillery; Pvt. Frank Ring in the 114th MG Battn., 30th Div. Frank was killed in action in October, 1918. He was buried in France and his mother was part of the US effort to visit the graves in the 1930s. The article also talks about Pres. McKenzie of Fisk University.
