Full text: 3 in 1938, I recall getting my first call to tune a piano at the Palace Theatre on Hanover Street in Manchester, NH. In 1939 Vaudeville Shows started at the Palace and lasted until 1954. Today, I am still tuning at the Palace Theatre, 54 years later. Some of the entertainers that performed there were: Jimmy Durante Ted Lewis Jack Lemon Baby Rose Marie and many more to numerous to name In more recent years I have tuned at the Palace Theatre for: The New Hampshire Symphony The New Hampshire Philharmonic Preservation Hall Jazz Band Myron Floren Operas Baleas & Choral Groups And so many more In 1942 I started servicing all the pianos at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH. In 1980, after 38 years I resigned. I then thought I was all done with the University System. Not so. The Merrimack Valley Branch in Manchester soon caught me and I am still hooked to the 4 University System here in Manchester. Now 50 years service. During the second World War, I also serviced the pianos at Keene State College for about 6 years. There was no Piano Technician in the area at that time and I consented to service them through that period until a technician returned to the area. The 50 years at the University System have been wonderful years. I have had the pleasure of tuning for many renound concert artists. At the start of the second World War, something happened.
