Description
Photograph of Nellie Mae Rowe standing in front of her home in Vinings, Georgia. She holds one of her dolls. After her husband's death in 1948, Rowe began decorating both the interior and exterior of the house with drawings, dolls, and recycled objects. Discovered by artists and collectors during the 1970s, Rowe's work is exhibited today in museums around the country.
