KOVR-TV news footage of the University of California, Berkeley during the Free Speech movement showing gatherings and music on campus and city parks; U.S. Senator Eugene McCarthy rally; Cesar Chavez speaking and being interview; Mayor Milton McGee speaks in front of the California State Capitol Building in Sacramento; Poet Allen Ginsberg sings the Hare Krishna and is interviewed. There are some interviews towards the end that show lab workers at Sacramento's Aerojet Labs watching the splashdown of the Apollo 8 mission, a NASA project the company worked on. The final clip seems to be of a Free Huey rally and shows Bobby Seale speaking and Kathleen Cleaver is seen standing next to him.Written on loose film leader in container: "Free Speech; Milton McGhee 1st blk mayor / Sacto.; 1970's"
