He mentions his brother's letter of introduction from John Bishop Estlin to May. Lupton is very appreciative of the kindness shown to his brother by William Lloyd Garrison, Wendell Phillips, and other abolitionists. He mentions legislation relating to the Jewish peoples and the reelection of Baron Rothschild to Parliament.
