Description

This folder begins with a number of documents depicting the desegregation efforts in Albany, Georgia. Following this are a series of incident reports from Mississippi and more general reports on the conditions of African American life in Alabama. The folder concludes with collection of news clippings concerning the opinions of Stokely Carmichael and the direction his leadership was heading SNCC. Highlights include the written "Statement of Landy McNair" and a "Position Paper on Black Consciousness."
