Overall the program explores the personal life of jazz recording-artist Ronnie Laws, a saxophonist. Host Barbara Barrow speaks with Laws about his interest in performing in Boston, his motivations for his second recording, the influence his mother had on his music, his brother (internationally known musician Herbert Laws), how long he has been playing and recording professionally, and his wife, Carmen.
