Description

Gerald Gardner discusses his book, “80: From Ben Bradlee to Lena Horne to Carl Reiner, Our Most Famous Eighty Year Olds Reveal Why They Never Felt So Young.” He begins by explaining that the book is a compilation of famous people who are in their 80s and lists advice they give on living a long life. He talks about specific people in the book like Ray Bradbury, Robert Byrd, Frankie Lane, and Marjorie Fasman. Gardner describes his love for film and politics, and how he worked for Senator Robert Kennedy. He discusses how people should be more patient and respectful to older individuals. He ends the interview by talking about his television writing career and his series of presidential election books.
