Description

Camped on the land of a Dr. Gaines, a secessionist sympathizer, Edward predicts the end of the war after Richmond is captured. He talks of food and suppplies, expresses his desire for the position of 2nd Lieutenant, and asks to be remembered to a number of friends back in Geneva.
