Description

"Aunt" Betsy Thompson sat for this picture in 1906, when she was about 99 years old. She was the widow of Rev. William Thompson, who pastored the church in Skunk Hollow. Betsy died in 1907. A note attached to the photo says: "Aunt Betsy Thompson will be 99 years old August 1906 - Sootie Charleston's gdma [grandma], Susie was Sootie's mother Tom was Sootie's fatha See photo Lottie's picture - Sootie's niece." Lottie was Charlotte Charleston See.
