Photo of Joseph A. De Laine, Sr. receiving a check from Reverend Seals, E.E. Richburg, and [E.] Frazier; On the opposite side is a picture of Reverend J.A. De Laine receiving a Check of $400.00 from Rev. J.W. Seals which was raised by the effort of Reverend Seals, richburg and Frazier. This $400.00 was applied on the $1,000.00 legal fee for Reverend De Laine when the defendants in The Federal Lawsuit became the Prosecuting witnesses in an alleged Slander lawsuit where they sought to take all Delaine's property through the $20,000.00 Court Action. De Laine eventually was forced to pay $2,700.00 which was received through Court Action (State of S.C. Court) from the insurace of Rev. De Laine's home at Summerton after it was misteriously burnt written on reverse.
