Description

In the letter Bullard, an overseer for Dellet, describes harvesting and shipping crops; weather and river conditions; and supplies needed for the slaves. He plans to order hats and handkerchiefs from Destia, Sheppard and Company in Mobile. At the time the letter was written, Dellet was serving in the United States House of Representatives; he served there from 1839 to 1841 and from 1843 to 1845.
