DVD copy of V.T.112.1 Terry Sanford on passage of Civil Rights Act, 7 July 1964 [Ends at 3:30] & part of M.P.F.79.1 “Report to the People” [Begins at 3:40]. In "Report of the People," Governor Sanford speaks to students of Needham Broughton High School in Raleigh about his four years in office and the future prospects for the state. The governor alludes to jobs, industry, roads, community planning, prisons, mental health, poverty, etc. He emphasizes education and its critical role in the development of North Carolina. This DVD was made from V.T.112.1 by the North Carolina Museum of History by Jerry Taylor in the MOH multi-media lab. This item was loaded into YouTube on January 16, 2014.
