Graham, who is shown holding the trophy awarded the fighters on their recent victories in Philadelphia. Left to right, standing: T/Sgt. Travis L. Fike, Special Services Chief Clerk; Fred Samuelson, 2nd Army heavyweight champ; Amoe Williams, light heavyweight champ; General Graham; John Demby, middleweight; Joe Rivers, team coach and former heavyweight champ in past tournaments; Bernard Battle, runnerup welterweight, Morris Hostelkind, lightweight. Front row, Chaplain (Capt.) George E. Allen, Tex Guillery, lightweight champ; Al Muckerson, lightweight and George Fuller, featherweight. Williams is ordinarily a heavy-weight but for the tournament he was forced to undergo steam baths to fall back into the lightheavyweight class, to give Camp Lee contenders in all divisions. He is also the Middle Eastern Service Conference heavyweight champion and has held the title in the MESC and the Second Army for the last two years. 6-17-48.
