From Dr. Lederer's text: Frank Whitley (1915) breaking horses [presumably in Springfield, Missouri] for sale and shipment to United States Allies in Europe. Mr. Whitley rode with Joe Pickett, brother of Bill Pickett, the black cowboy who invented the sport of 'bulldogging.' Bill Pickett is in the Cowboy Hall of Fame.
