Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Manuscript composed upon stationary bearing the typeset letterhead of the "American Freedmen's Aid Union, 69 Nassau Street, New York".James Miller M'Kim writes William Lloyd Garrison informing him of a scheduled meeting of the Board of Managers of the American Freedmen's Aid Commission, to take place in Philadelphia on the 11th of October. M'Kim charges Garrison with the preparation of an address to be directed to the public reporting on the formation of the American Freedmen's Aid Commission, stating that he cannot reach Bishop Simpson, the head of the Board of Managers, as he is traveling out West.
