Description
This folder consists of both handwritten and typed telephone logs of calls coming into the Meridian COFO office. The logs start the day the civil rights workers James Chaney, Michael Schwerner and Andrew Goodman go missing and continue through the summer detailing updates on the search from the FBI and news outlets, as well as crank calls regarding the missing men. Also mentioned is a visit by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and other notes discussing the daily operations of the Freedom Summer Project.
