Holograph, signedTitle devised by catalogerManuscript annotated on recto, with "251" in pencil beneath Pillsbury's salutation to GarrisonParker Pillsbury writes William Lloyd Garrison his hopes that Garrison will "put Collins up" concerning the organization's finances, and states that neither Collins nor the Board are in accord with Pillsbury's support for a "most thorough expose of the pecuniary transactions of the society". Pillsbury reports on the "stir" they are creating with their antislavery efforts, exclaiming that Taunton is "on fire" and that supporters of the cause are "delighted" with the meetings taking place. Pillsbury reports that he will be leaving that evening for Providence, and states his hopes to see Garrison in Newburyport shortly thereafter
