Description

Stereograph glass negative possibly depicting Fourth of July celebrations in Sparta, Illinois in July 1919. The photo was taken by either Herman Frederick Hall (1893-1984) or his one of his brothers, Herbert Harold Hall (1893-1961) or Edmeaux Homer Hall (b. 1897), circa 1920-1921. The Hall family was a mixed-race family of African-American descent who lived at 2350 Glenarm Place in Denver, Colorado and had family in Sparta, Illinois.
