Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Manuscript composed on reverse of a printed, typeset circular advertising a public meeting to be held in "commemoration of the leadership and martyrdom of CRISPUS ATTUCKS". The circular has an image of Attucks being shot at the Boston Massacre adorning its letterhead.Manuscript annotated on recto, with "20" appearing in pencil above the circular letterhead.Manuscript annotated on verso, with "Ms. A.1.2 v.29, p.21" appearing in pencil upon the bottom-right of page.William Cooper Nell writes William Lloyd Garrison concerning the commemoration of the life and death of Crispus Attucks, admitting that while his preparations for the event, and his subsequent expectations of it, fall short of his efforts for the previous year, he nonetheless expects that it will be an "interesting" occasion. Nell states his anticipation of Garrison's presence, and his hopes that Garrison will consent to offer a "few words" at his convenience.
