Side B:Part 1 of Interview with John Bowen, who came to Santa Cruz as part of the African American 54th Coast Artillery, an all black unit stationed at Lighthouse Point during WWII. Interview with Erva Bowen about settling in Santa Cruz with her husband after WWII and about her experiences as one of the first African Americans in the mostly white community.
