This photograph shows Margaret Walker Alexander and Donald Gallup in his office in the lower level of the Beinecke Rare Book Library at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. Ms. Alexander was present in order to look at some correspondence between herself and Richard Wright, which she had earlier donated.
