Photograph of a wedding at New Hope Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi. A young newly-married African American couple pose in front of the altar. Attendants stand on either side of them. Several guests sit in the wooden pews. A print of Leonardo da Vinci's "Last Supper" hangs over a door on the left, and a clock hangs on the wall in the upper right. The minister, standing behind the bride and groom, is identified as Rev. L.C. Ruskins.The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
