Tappan writes to Anne Warren Weston in regards to her previous years as a secretary for her "serving Society" and the materials that were collected, asking her if she would like her to "transport the heavy plates from city to city" or if she would prefer to have her share sent on. She writes that these plates "consist of the slave kneeling under a tree with negroes at work in the distance-2.a mother sitting under a tree with her sick infant 3. some vignettes descriptions of slavers as it existed in the West Indies." She encloses money for Mr. Southard from the Philadelphia and New York anti-slavery societies. She approves of Anne inserting a notice in the Liberator and she will send one to the Emancipator next week. She has parted with Sarah Moore Grimke and Angelina Emily Grimke and is saddened by "the loss of their society & kind connects."
